Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hightower avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hightower lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hightower enables Huntsinger to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hightower manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Hightower has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Huntsinger can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Huntsinger might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Huntsinger is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Huntsinger seems to be working for a kimura but Hightower defends the submission attempt.

Hightower manages to escape and get back to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hightower displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Huntsinger.
Hightower tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Huntsinger tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hightower swivels and escapes.

Huntsinger feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Huntsinger postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hightower is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Huntsinger, into his guard.

Hightower is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Huntsinger pushes a forearm under Hightower's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Hightower is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bubba Huntsinger!
During a confident post fight interview, Bubba Huntsinger thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
