Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Pall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lars Bross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bross has chosen Jamelia - Superstar as his entrance music. Jon Pall has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Pall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lars Bross!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Russell Pearce and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bross fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pall sprawls well initially but Bross persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bross lands with a punch from half guard.
Pall trying to control but Bross postures up.
Bross slips a nice elbow through Pall's hands, connecting with Pall's forehead.
Bross sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Pall defending well though.
Bross throwing shots but Pall is blocking nicely.
Pall flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Pall works his way to full guard. Good work.
Pall avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Pall working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bross doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bross manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Pall manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Bross wants to escape the position.

Bross tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Pall tries to control but Bross wriggling away.

Bross looks gassed!
Bross swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pall landing punches.
Bross keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Pall looking to control but Bross is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Pall working for a guillotine from mount but Bross is in no mood to give up.
Pall can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bross is looking to escape.

Pall working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Pall trying to control but Bross is having none of it.

Bross is trying to escape the mount.
Pall with a couple of short strikes.
Pall wants to control the pace but Bross is squirming around nicely.
Bross wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Bross looking very determined here, making life difficult for Pall.

Pall looking for the choke but no joy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Pall trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Pall is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bross is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Bross is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Bross staying busy and making it hard for Pall to control.
Pall doesn't have the hooks in and Bross manages to turn into his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jon Pall will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Pall moves out of range of the strikes.
Pall shoots in looking for a takedown. Bross tries to sprawl out of it but Pall keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bross manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Horrible takedown by Pall or perhaps it was just good defense by Bross which made him look bad.
Pall fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Pall. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bross closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Pall takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Bross connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Pall some visible discomfort.
Bross landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Bross lands some shots froms side control.
Bross looks up at the clock and then as Pall takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bross smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Pall is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Check out the look on Bross's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pall is working to avoid the ground and pound but Bross connects with a decent elbow.

Bross in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Bross is chipping away with strikes.
Bross is putting a hurting on Pall here, landing some big shots from side control.
Pall misses with a strike from the bottom.

Bross really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pall. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bross has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Pall's face.
Bross lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Pall hang on?
Pall wants to control but Bross is having none of it.

Pall wants to hold on but Bross pushes him away.
Bross lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Bross with a couple of short strikes.
Bross breaks from Pall's wrist control and lands an elbow.
A nice elbow there by Bross.
Bross punishing his opponent with strikes.
Bross connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Pall takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Bross working away from the top, dropping strikes.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bross cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Pall bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Bross wants to sweep here but Pall controlling him for the moment.
Bross is striking off his back. Pall thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Bross tries to get to full guard but Pall has control of the leg.
Bross trying to get back to full guard but Pall takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Pall looking to control but Bross is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Bross is trying desperately to improve position.
Pall is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bross can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Pall putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

Lars Bross showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Jon Pall is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A left and a right from Pall both land. Nice combination.
Nice takedown defense from Pall. No joy for Bross on that attempt.

Bross with the ground and pound but Pall regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Pall moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Pall manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Bross takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bross can do anything to dispel that myth.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bross is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Pall is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Bross has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Bross tries to escape but Pall has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jon Pall.
I think Pall has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
