Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nash Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Hiller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hiller has chosen Cabbage - No meat eating as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nash Banks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Matt Hiller!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jorge Garcia and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks lands a nice shot that snaps Hiller's head back.
Hiller on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Banks lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Banks rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hiller moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Banks misses with a body shot.
Banks cracks Hiller with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Hiller tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Banks swivels and escapes.
Hiller closes the distance and clinches up with Banks, looking for a takedown. Hiller pushes Banks against the cage but Banks circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hiller shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Banks but Banks pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nash Banks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Hiller.
Hiller takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Hiller closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Banks did well to prevent Hiller getting side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hiller throwing shots but Banks is blocking nicely.

Hiller is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Banks's coaches at LOD: Ground Zero have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Hiller is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Hiller content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Banks kicks off Hiller and gets to his feet.
Nash Banks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hiller.
Banks connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Hiller fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Banks sprawls well initially but Hiller persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Hiller slips a nice elbow through Banks's hands, connecting with Banks's forehead.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Hiller working his ground and pound in the gym.
Banks is looking to control Hiller's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Banks avoid being mounted?

Banks on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Banks tries to get out of the position.
Banks is trying to maintain the position but Hiller is very close to passing his half guard.

Hiller is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hiller is trying to control the action in half guard but Banks is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Banks lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Banks lands with a nice combination. Hiller backs away looking to recover.
Nash Banks is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Banks defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hiller.
Nice sprawl there from Banks as Hiller shoots in.
An attempted straight right counter from Banks misses the target.
A nice leg kick lands there from Banks.
Hiller takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Banks stuffs the takedown.
Hiller closes the distance and clinches up with Banks, looking for a takedown. Hiller pushes Banks against the cage but Banks circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Banks thuds his right hand into Hiller's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Hiller gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Nice uppercut lands for Banks. That snapped Hiller's head back.


Hiller is rocked!


It looks like Matt Hiller has been cut.
Hiller shoots in but Banks avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hiller is still on wobbly legs! Can Banks finish him?
Banks connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hiller momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nash Banks dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Matt Hiller's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Banks lands with a cross.
Hiller seems to have recovered his senses.
Hiller shoots in looking for a takedown but Banks manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hiller's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Hiller tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Banks swivels and escapes.
Banks stalks Hiller and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hiller's face. Hiller staggers backwards, shaken.
Banks lands with a straight right. Hiller didn't see that one coming.
Banks connects with a looping right hand.
Banks cracks Hiller with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Hiller falls to his knees and Banks doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nash Banks!
The defeated Matt Hiller had this to say: 'I see, you have watched my workout videos.. Great job, now back to pump it!'.
