Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Lamont Murphy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Simon Ward!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Murphy.
Murphy tries for a takedown but Ward sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Ward shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Murphy manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Murphy is working an open guard so Ward takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Ward closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ward lands in his opponent's guard.

Murphy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ward gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Murphy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Murphy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Ward wants to hit a switch here but Murphy passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Ward there!

Ward is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Murphy locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Ward is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Lamont Murphy!
