Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Forrest Gump (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and How Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gump kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is INTERNATIONALE. Long has chosen The Anthem by Onra as his entrance music. Forrest Gump has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Forrest Gump!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, How Long!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Gump misses.
Gump missing with a left hand there. Long was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Gump fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Gump fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Long.
Gump scores with a one two! Long had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.


It looks like How Long has been cut.
Gump throws a jab when Long was well out of range.
Gump checks a leg kick nicely.
Gump throwing a counter right hand but Long manages to avoid it.
Gump throws a low kick, looking for Long's leg but Long calmly moves out of range.
Long takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

and Long counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Long pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gump is keeping the position for now.
Long is looking to work some ground and pound but Gump has wrist control.

Gump is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Gump has momentary wrist control but Long slips an elbow through the middle.
Long has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Long accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Gump has Long pulled in close to control his posture.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Gump has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Outlaws Clubhouse in the buildup to the fight.
Gump throws the left hand but Long avoids the punch easily.
And Long tries to counter it with a takedown but Gump pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Long changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gump looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Long is trying to get an arm triangle but Gump is defending well.
Gump tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Long takes a little break here. Gump wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Gump is looking for a sweep.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Long is staying tight to Gump's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Gump is looking to reverse the position.
You can see the frustration on Gump's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Long working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Long wants to control but Gump is keeping him busy.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Long is staying tight to Gump's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Long throws a strike aimed at the side of Gump's head but Gump avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Gump tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Long is able to avoid easily.
Gump throws a big shot that misses.

Long feints and as Gump raises his hands in defense, Long changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Long not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Long got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gump has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Long has managed to get both his arms back between Gump's legs - danger averted.
Long scoring with some ground and pound.

Long is pushing down on Gump's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gump is fighting to maintain full guard but Long has managed to sneak the leg through.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Long lands a nice short elbow.
Long looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Gump is refusing to be controlled, as Long sits in half guard.
Long is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Long works his foot free and advances to mount.
Long postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Gump looks a forlorn figure.

Long is working for a guillotine from mount but Gump frees his head quite easily.
Gump tries to hold on but Long pushes him away.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Long cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Long cracks Gump with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Long has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oh Gump is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Long looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
A big strike lands for Long! That's really hurt Gump and he's turned his back - Long keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Long jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). How Long!
A very excited looking How Long rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
In defeat, Forrest Gump stepped up to the mic, saying 'I am proud communist.'.
