Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 10 - 2, fighting out of New York, Riel Dan Reyes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gary Player!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Reyes counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Player shoots in looking for a takedown but Reyes manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Player's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Reyes lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Player closes the distance and clinches up with Reyes, looking for a takedown. Player pushes Reyes against the cage but Reyes circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Riel Dan Reyes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gary Player.

Reyes has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

That was a close round but I would say that Riel Dan Reyes will probably get the nod.

Reyes is pulling down on Player's head. It's preventing any offense from Player, at least for the moment.

And that's the end of the fight!
Gary Player comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Reyes has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
