Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Obasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stone Mountain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, John Obasi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stone Mountain!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obasi tries to clinch but Mountain is having none of it.

Obasi shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Obasi not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Mountain tries to roll over but Obasi keeps him under control.
Mountain looks like he's trying to stand up.

Mountain changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Obasi tries to avoid it but Mountain manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Obasi to the ground. Obasi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Obasi tries to counter with a takedown but Mountain is quick to defend against it.
Mountain avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
And Mountain tries to counter it with a takedown but Obasi pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Obasi shoots in looking for a takedown but Mountain manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Obasi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Mountain changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Obasi tries to avoid it but Mountain manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Obasi to the ground. Obasi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Obasi throws a big counter combination but Mountain scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

That was a close round but I would say that John Obasi will probably get the nod.

Well Obasi has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
