Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Armando Conway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rand Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Armando Conway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rand Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson tries to clinch up.

Conway feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Conway drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Conway jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Conway controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Jackson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That was a close round but I would say that Armando Conway will probably get the nod.

Jackson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Conway is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jackson wanted to stand there but Conway had control of the position.

Conway changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jackson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Jackson passes Conway's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Jackson prevents Conway from improving his position.
Well, if Jackson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Let's hope that Jackson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
