Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Deverux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steve Deverux has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Clark looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A swing and a miss from Deverux.
Deverux misses with an uppercut.
Clark tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Deverux moves out of range as Clark strikes.
Clark gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Nice shot lands for Deverux.
No joy there for Deverux, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Clark tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Deverux paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Clark should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clark uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Deverux.
Clark ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Deverux moves away.
Clark tries to score a power double leg takedown but Deverux sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Clark somewhat.
Clark fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Deverux is out of range.
Deverux tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Clark manages to circle out of the way.

Clark fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Deverux checks it well.

Clark closes the distance and pushes Deverux back into the cage.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Clark stalling in the clinch but Deverux improves position.
Clark tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Steve Deverux has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeremy Clark.

Deverux wants to stand but Clark is controlling his posture from full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Deverux will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Clark has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Deverux can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Deverux wants to get up but he can't break Clark's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Clark working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Deverux doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Clark is tightening it up a little... Deverux has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Deverux reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Deverux taps out! Nice BJJ there by Clark!
