Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mark Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Lay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Davidson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Peter Lay!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ben Hemmingworth and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davidson throws a series of punches but Lay moves out of range.
Lay ducks under a wild hook from Davidson.
Lay looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Davidson throws a jab but it's blocked by Lay.
Lay takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Sloppy strikes from Davidson. Those never looked like landing.

Lay moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Davidson bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Lay uses his free foot to push down on Davidson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Davidson.

I would just about give that final round to Peter Lay.
I've got Lay winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
