Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yang Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renzo Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee comes to the cage accompanied by Japanese National Anthem. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Alves swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lee appears to be looking for a big counter.
Lee wants to clinch up but Alves keeps it at a distance.
Alves swats away the attempt to clinch by Lee.
Alves changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Alves has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Lee is landing a low percentage of strikes.
A big right from Alves misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lee. Alves does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nice defenses there by Lee.

Sloppy strikes from Lee. Those never looked like landing.
Alves lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Lee throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Alves throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lee tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Alves is in Lee's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Alves is looking to pass into half guard but Lee pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Lee is in guard.

Alves is trying to control the position but Lee postures up.
Lee missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Alves keeping moving, preventing Lee from controlling successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee is really struggling to control Alves but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Alves throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Lee throws a big elbow that misses.
Lee won't allow Alves to sweep him here.
Lee tries to stand but Alves is controlling from the bottom.

Alves has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Alves is looking to cinch up a triangle. Lee throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Alves 's body to avoid the submission. Alves has instead reached around Lee's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Alves arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
