And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alex Jacobs!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs lands a head kick!
Ellis throws a series of strikes that have Jacobs backpedaling.
Jacobs closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ellis circles away.

Ellis pushes Jacobs up against the cage in a clinch.
Jacobs dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Ellis as Jacobs tries to tie him up.
Jacobs is trying to pull guard but Ellis has him pressed against the cage.

Jacobs is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Jacobs lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Jacobs loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jacobs content to stall in guard here.
Jacobs stands and throws Ellis's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Ellis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ellis tries to get out of the position.

Jacobs thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Jacobs has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Ellis bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jacobs's head backwards.
Jacobs fails with the takedown.
An attempted straight right counter from Ellis misses the target.
Jordan Ellis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Jacobs.
Ellis tries to clinch but Jacobs moves out of range.
Ellis scores with a leg kick.
Ellis misses with a straight right.
Jacobs throws a wild hook but Ellis just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Jacobs gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Ellis raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
