Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yuuto Kawasati (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Jakobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Good leg kick by Kawasati there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Nick Jakobs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kawasati jumps guard but Jakobs stands there with Kawasati around his waist. Kawasati gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Jakobs has had enough of the clinch but Kawasati keeps him there for the moment.

Kawasati feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Kawasati postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jakobs is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kawasati, into his guard.

Kawasati isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Jakobs stacks Kawasati on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Jakobs!

Kawasati manages to work his way to half guard, despite Jakobs's best efforts.
Jakobs wants to stand but Kawasati has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Yuuto Kawasati.
