The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcconnell misses with a head kick.
Dissapointment is looking for the big counter here.
Mcconnell wants to clinch.

Mcconnell gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dissapointment to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Dissapointment wants to get up but he can't break Mcconnell's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
You can see the frustration on Mcconnell's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Mcconnell is not content to let Dissapointment control the position.
Mcconnell tries to improve position but can't.
Mcconnell is letting Dissapointment control him for a moment.
Dissapointment lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Dissapointment cracks Mcconnell with a big elbow.

Dissapointment wants to stand but Mcconnell is controlling his arm.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Dissapointment tries to close the distance and clinch but Mcconnell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mcconnell looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Dissapointment moves in looking to clinch but Mcconnell pushes him off.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Dissapointment shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mcconnell napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Dissapointment is putting a hurting on Mcconnell here, landing some big shots from side control.

Dissapointment takes a little break here. Mcconnell wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Dissapointment is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mcconnell knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Dissapointment cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Mcconnell tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Mcconnell tries to lock up and control but Dissapointment gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Mcconnell is squirming around, avoiding Dissapointment's attempts to control the action.
Dissapointment landing strikes from the mount.
Dissapointment has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Mcconnell is trying desperately to improve position.
BOOM! Dissapointment connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Dissapointment content just to control the position here.

Dissapointment is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Mcconnell is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Mcconnell flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Dissapointment anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Mcconnell and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Dissapointment slips an arm under Mcconnell chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Dissapointment has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Dissapointment is squeezing on Mcconnell like an anaconda would it's prey. Mcconnell fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
