The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
May rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gromov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gromov lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like JJ May has been cut.
That kick from Gromov tenderised May's leg. May is trying to keep his angry face on.
Sloppy strikes from May. Those never looked like landing.

May moves into range and clinches up with Gromov.

May breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
May slips a jab and a cross from Gromov.

May seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Gromov, right into the meat.
Gromov scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

May drops his hands momentarily and Gromov needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips May just on the top of the head. May drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in May - he's done!
