PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Barney Judge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Judge comes to the cage accompanied by NewTV by FACES OF MARS. Andy Burns told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Barney Judge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andy Burns!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Judge looks to throw the jab but Burns is out of range.
Judge throws a combination. Burns tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Judge misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Burns slips under a jab.
Burns appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Judge lands a left and a right that send Burns crashing to the mat, dazed. Judge thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Burns is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Burns gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Judge gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Burns is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Barney Judge!
After the fight, Barney Judge was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
