Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Karl Socha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Artem Bessmertin!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Eddie Farnsworth and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Socha connects with a crisp jab.
Socha bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Socha walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Socha has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Bessmertin dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Socha fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Bessmertin is out of range.
Socha has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bessmertin.
Bessmertin misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Socha connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Socha tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bessmertin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bessmertin changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Bessmertin lands with an uppercut that bounces Socha off the cage and back into range.
Socha wants to slow Bessmertin down by chopping away at his legs.
Bessmertin rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Socha counter with a right hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bessmertin cracks Socha with an open hand slap.
Socha throws a quick inside leg kick.

Socha tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bessmertin was well out of range. Poor timing from Socha.
Bessmertin keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Socha thuds his right hand into Bessmertin's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Bessmertin is rocked!
Socha does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Bessmertin tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Bessmertin tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Socha is able to avoid easily.
Socha is looking to chop away at Bessmertin's legs.
Socha looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Bessmertin drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Socha defends it well.
Socha tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Socha takes one to the chin there.
Bessmertin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Socha.
And Bessmertin tries to counter it with a takedown but Socha pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Bessmertin swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Socha.

Bessmertin scores with a body shot.
Bessmertin lands with a shot to the body.
Bessmertin lands a two punch combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Socha looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Bessmertin clobbers Socha with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Socha throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Bessmertin stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Socha follows into mount!
Bessmertin is still in real trouble! Can Socha finish him?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Socha unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Bessmertin wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Socha celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
