Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Truman Goverdeen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ross has chosen Boom as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The key to victory for Truman Goverdeen has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ross shoots in looking for a takedown. Goverdeen tries to sprawl out of it but Ross keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Goverdeen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Goverdeen swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Ross fails with a takedown attempt.
Ross should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Goverdeen has a takedown stuffed.
Ross fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Goverdeen avoids it really well and circles away.
Truman Goverdeen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Ross.

Ross tries to sprawl but Goverdeen drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Goverdeen is looking to take a break and control but Ross is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ross tries to get to full guard but Goverdeen has control of the leg.

Ross is staying active underneath Goverdeen, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Ross has eaten all the pies!
Ross is looking to improve his position.
Ross really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goverdeen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Goverdeen trying to control but Ross is having none of it.

Nice sprawl there from Ross as Goverdeen shoots in.
Ross changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Ross scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Ross wants to take a breather but Goverdeen manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Ross.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Goverdeen is looking to stand up but Ross isn't so interested in that idea.
Ross wants to control from the top but Goverdeen keeps moving.

Ross has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Goverdeen to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Ross is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Goverdeen pulls down on the head and he's put Ross to sleep! This one is all over!
