Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ned Alonso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens tries to close the distance and clinch but Alonso swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Stevens pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stevens takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Alonso stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Stevens.
Alonso is looking to wear down Stevens with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Alonso lands a nice hook to Stevens's body. Stevens takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Stevens looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Alonso has picked Stevens up and slammed him! Stevens can't keep hold of the triangle and Alonso manages to pass to side control!

Stevens is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Alonso really must keep his cool here. He's controlling one of Stevens's hands and whilst he does that, he's got a chance of escaping the position.

Stevens has the hooks in. Alonso is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Alonso might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Alonso tries to escape but Stevens has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alonso looks up at the clock and then as Stevens takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Alonso smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Alonso lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Stevens down.

Alonso cracks Stevens with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Alonso immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Stevens is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Alonso!
