Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kalja Turpa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Throbing Hood!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hood scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Hood trying to control the action but Turpa is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hood has an Americana. Turpa didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Hood is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Hood hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Throbing Hood!
Throbing Hood very nearly forgot to thank AnonymouS amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
