Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ragnar Kveldulfson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 36 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Daniel Speed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ragnar Kveldulfson!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kveldulfson avoids the head kick by Speed.
A thudding body kick lands there by Speed!
Speed swats away the attempt to clinch by Kveldulfson.
Kveldulfson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Speed pinned against the cage. Speed gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kveldulfson misses the shot to the body.
Speed stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Kveldulfson misses with a double jab.
Speed looks to land a left hand but Kveldulfson moved out of range nicely.
As Speed backs off Kveldulfson throws a huge counter combo but Speed manages to avoid it all.
Speed has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Grappling Pro Helsinki in the buildup to the fight.
Kveldulfson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Speed clobbers Kveldulfson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Speed closes the distance and pushes Kveldulfson back into the cage.

Speed scores with a shot to the side of Kveldulfson's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Speed is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Kveldulfson can't fight it off and eventually Speed manages to take the fight to the floor. Kveldulfson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Speed accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Speed in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Speed throwing strikes from guard but Kveldulfson blocks nicely.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

A frustrated look appears on Kveldulfson's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Speed breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Ragnar Kveldulfson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Speed drives through with a takedown into Kveldulfson's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Kveldulfson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Speed's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kveldulfson content to control rather than advance.

Speed manages to escape and get back to his feet!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daniel Speed dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kveldulfson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Speed.
Kveldulfson tries to counter with a clinch but Speed shakes him off and moves away.
Speed connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kveldulfson momentarily.

Speed slaps away a takedown attempt from Kveldulfson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Speed takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Speed shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kveldulfson as he avoids it easily.
Kveldulfson goes for a double leg but Speed avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Speed continues to drive forward.
Daniel Speed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ragnar Kveldulfson.

Speed fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Speed paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

and Speed counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Kveldulfson throws a right and a left that Speed avoids nicely.
Speed attempts a counter takedown but Kveldulfson avoids it well and moves away.
Speed stuffs the takedown attempt from Kveldulfson. Kveldulfson gets slowly back to his feet.

Kveldulfson wants to clinch up but Speed keeps it at a distance.

Speed is looking to clinch but Kveldulfson is avoiding it.
Speed misses with an uppercut. Kveldulfson saw that one coming.
Speed's corner calls for a 1-2. Speed obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Speed is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kveldulfson can do to turn this around?

Speed throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kveldulfson on the side of the head.

Speed shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Speed was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Speed misses with the ground and pound.
Speed fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Speed is putting a hurting on Kveldulfson here, landing some big shots from side control.
Speed in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Kveldulfson looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Speed turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

Daniel Speed gave a mention to Perkele! in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
