Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Laven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niilo Hamalainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hamalainen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Face the Pain. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamalainen tries for a takedown but Laven sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
An attempted straight right counter from Laven misses the target.
Laven throws a series of punches but Hamalainen moves out of range.
Hamalainen dives in for a single leg takedown but Laven sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Laven throws a combination. Hamalainen tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Hamalainen tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Laven defends well and Hamalainen ends up having to push Laven into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Daniel Laven has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Niilo Hamalainen.
Nice jab there from Laven.
Laven looks to land a body kick but Hamalainen moved away.
Laven stuffs the takedown.
Laven scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Hamalainen is rocked!
Daniel Laven seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Laven feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hamalainen sprawling to the canvas! Hamalainen rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Laven finish him?!
Hamalainen is still on wobbly legs! Can Laven finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hamalainen walks straight into a right hand from Laven - that's dropped him! Laven jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Hamalainen from any more punishment! Hamalainen complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
