Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juan Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Sunshine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Velasquez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Accept's Balls To The Wall. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been told by Velasquez's head coaches at Montreal Elite Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Sunshine throws a right hand that Velasquez ducks under and follows up with a left that Velasquez also avoids with ease.
As Sunshine looks to move away, Velasquez throws a big counter combo bu Sunshine just gets out of the way.
A slapping leg kick lands for Velasquez.

Sunshine is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Velasquez.

Sunshine ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Velasquez moves away.

Sunshine has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Velasquez uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sunshine.
Velasquez just misses with a punch to the body.
Sunshine throws a lazy right hand but Velasquez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sunshine is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Sunshine swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
It looked like Velasquez was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Sunshine throws a predictable looking body shot
and Velasquez counters with a crisp one two that drops Sunshine! Velasquez thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Sunshine to his feet! Sunshine is in big trouble!

Sunshine is still on wobbly legs! Can Velasquez finish him?

Sunshine seems to have recovered his senses.
Velasquez throws a leg kick but Sunshine sees it coming and moves out of range.

Velasquez is looking for a counter combo.
That kick from Velasquez tenderised Sunshine's leg. Sunshine is trying to keep his angry face on.

Velasquez looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Velasquez moves out of range of the strikes.
Velasquez throws a quick counter kick to the body but Sunshine avoids it.
Sunshine throws a right and a left that Velasquez avoids nicely.
Sunshine jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Velasquez swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Sunshine might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Velasquez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Sunshine.
Velasquez misses the shot to the body.
Velasquez goes for a small jab and connects. Now Velasquez goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Sunshine stumbles back but Velasquez runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Sunshine to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Sunshine will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
