The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tinkl gets tackled into the cage by Malandro. Malandro maintains the clinch.

Tinkl jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Malandro walks away with a smile on his face. Tinkl gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Tinkl avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Malandro closes the distance and clinches.
Malandro crunches a lovely knee into Tinkl's ribcage.
Malandro tries to land a knee to the head but Tinkl blocks with his arms.

Malandro creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Tinkl's defenses.
Tinkl wants to take the fight to the mat but Malandro manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Tinkl tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Malandro avoids it.

Tinkl has been working on his balance at Fitness elite 24/7, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Malandro.

Tinkl closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Malandro has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
