The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Trick as Jacobs shoots in.

Jacobs moves into range and clinches up with Trick.
Jacobs manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Trick tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jacobs just stands there and leans against the cage.
The referee calls for Jacobs to work.

Jacobs escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jacobs closes the distance and clinches up with Trick, looking for a takedown. Jacobs pushes Trick against the cage but Trick circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jacobs moves out of range as Trick strikes.

Trick tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jacobs sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Trick somewhat.
Jacobs appears to be looking for a big counter.

Jacobs closes the distance and clinches up with Trick, looking for a takedown. Jacobs pushes Trick against the cage but Trick circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Trick closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jacobs did well to prevent Trick getting side control.

Trick seems to be looking for submissions.

Jacobs wants to control but Trick is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Jacobs knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Trick on the ground.
Trick tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Jacobs wants to improve his position but Trick is controlling well.
Trick throwing shots but Jacobs is blocking nicely.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Trick shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jacobs napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Dallas Trick has got the better of the ground game so far.
Trick wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jacobs keeps working.

Trick has hold of Jacobs's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Jacobs tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Trick cranks the arm and Jacobs screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Jacobs, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
