The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Richards as Riasco shoots in.
Riasco tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Richards turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Riasco blocks a head kick by Richards.
Richards throws a push kick but Riasco slaps the foot to one side.
Riasco tries to counter with a takedown but Richards is quick to defend against it.
Richards throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Riasco counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Riasco.
Riasco stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Richards swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Richards is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Riasco tries to free his leg and advance position but Richards is retaining full guard.
