Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Gaarlandt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Milpid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Milpid has chosen Stupify as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The key to victory for Kevin Gaarlandt has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Gaarlandt misses.
Milpid is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Kevin Gaarlandt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gaarlandt ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Milpid moves away.
Milpid changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Gaarlandt throws a jab when Milpid was well out of range.
Gaarlandt loads up on a big right hand but Milpid slips the punch.
Milpid shoots for a takedown but Gaarlandt saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Gaarlandt ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Gaarlandt fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Gaarlandt ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Milpid gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Gaarlandt falls off balance throwing a combination
so Milpid counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gaarlandt is looking to cinch up a triangle. Milpid throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Gaarlandt's body to avoid the submission. Gaarlandt has instead reached around Milpid's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Gaarlandt arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Kevin Gaarlandt!
