Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yuuga Ikeda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Gago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Gago closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Ikeda's coaches at Montreal Elite Gym have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ikeda is pushing Gago's head away, looking to escape. Gago manages to hold on to the position though.

Gago is working to tighten his grip on Ikeda's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Ikeda has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Gago is really squeezing tight and eventually Ikeda passes out! Gago breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
