The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Silva dives in and grabs Nicklaus's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nicklaus pushes down on Da Silva's head and hops out.
Nicklaus scores with a nice head shot.
It looks like Santiago Da Silva has been cut.
Nicklaus cracks Da Silva with an open hand slap.
Nicklaus drops Da Silva with a right and a left! Nicklaus comes rushing in but Da Silva regains his composure and manages to keep Nicklaus in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nicklaus throws a hook but Da Silva avoids it easily.
Da Silva tries a quick counter leg kick but Nicklaus is wise to it.

Both fighters circling a little - Nicklaus finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Da Silva lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Nicklaus throws a sloppy head kick and Da Silva moves out of range easily.
Nicklaus backing away here, and Da Silva unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Nicklaus fakes the leg kick and cracks Da Silva in the body.
Da Silva takes one on the button.

Nicklaus fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Nicklaus thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Da Silva if he has to take too many more of those.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Da Silva with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Nicklaus to score with a decent uppercut.
Nicklaus throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Da Silva gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
That has opened up Santiago Da Silva's cut even more.
Nicklaus keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Da Silva drops his hands momentarily and Nicklaus takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Nicklaus lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Da Silva moves forwards but Nicklaus connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Da Silva takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Nicklaus's corner calls for a 1-2. Nicklaus obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Da Silva is rocked!
The cut above Santiago Da Silva's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Both fighters circling a little - Nicklaus finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Da Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Nicklaus finish him?

Da Silva seems to have recovered his senses.
Nicklaus lands a nice looking body kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Nicklaus.
Jack Nicklaus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nicklaus throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Da Silva tumbling to the canvas!
Nicklaus postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Da Silva has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Nicklaus has passed into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Santiago Da Silva's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Santiago Da Silva's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Jack Nicklaus!
After winning the bout, Jack Nicklaus thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
