Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rupert Bright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mako Adriano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Rupert Bright has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Adriano shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bright manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Bright is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Adriano presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Adriano is trying to control. Bright wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Bright has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Adriano is on him like a limpet, forcing Bright back against the cage.

Bright is fighting off a takedown attempt but Adriano is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Bright to the mat. Bright regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Adriano stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bright swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Bright gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Adriano to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Adriano postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bright is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Adriano, into his guard.

Bright stands and steps away. Adriano gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Bright tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Adriano feints and as Bright raises his hands in defense, Adriano changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Adriano slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Adriano drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bright dives on top into guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Adriano is on top in guard.

Bright has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Adriano can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Adriano is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bright is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Adriano lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Bright tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Adriano wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Bright sneaks out the side door and pushes Adriano away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Bright shoots in for a double leg but Adriano sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Adriano closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bright's guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Adriano wants to pass the guard but Bright is keeping the position.

Adriano decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Bright drives through and clinches with Adriano against the cage.

Adriano wants the takedown. Bright is fighting it off but Adriano persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Bright's guard against the cage.

Adriano stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bright swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Adriano gets to his feet. Bright looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Adriano throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bright was covering up waiting for the punch and Adriano finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Adriano stands and throws Bright's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Mako Adriano comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
