Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matthew Campion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Purist Thunderwrath!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Bruno Lombardi and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thunderwrath closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Campion quickly recovers to half guard.
Thunderwrath is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Campion keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Thunderwrath is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Thunderwrath lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Thunderwrath throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Campion is looking for a sweep. Thunderwrath is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Thunderwrath landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Campion looking for submissions off his back.
Thunderwrath takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Campion is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Thunderwrath stops Campion from getting back to his feet.
Campion might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Thunderwrath passes the guard and advances to mount!
Thunderwrath has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Campion's face.
Thunderwrath breaks from Campion's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Campion could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Thunderwrath prevents Campion from getting the reversal.
Thunderwrath lands a big elbow - Campion is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Campion is forced to tap out!
