Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kru Thorne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Havoc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kru Thorne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Danny Havoc!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thorne closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Havoc to the mat! Havoc manages to get full guard.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
Thorne wants to stand but Havoc has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Havoc manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Havoc pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Havoc landing strikes from the mount.
Thorne reaches up to try and control the position but Havoc seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Thorne rolls and tries to escape and now Havoc has his back!

Havoc has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Thorne wants to get back to his feet.

Thorne trying to control the position but Havoc manages to sink in the hooks.
Havoc misses with a punch to the head.
Thorne breaks Havoc's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Havoc has his foot on Thorne's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Thorne works his way back into a safe position though.
Thorne cracks Havoc with a solid left hand.
Havoc is looking to stand up but Thorne isn't so interested in that idea.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Havoc not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Thorne wanted to stand there but Havoc had control of the position.
Havoc looking to hit a scissor sweep but Thorne is one step ahead there.
Havoc wants to stand and escape but Thorne is having none of it.
Thorne wants to control from the top but Havoc keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Thorne shoots in but Havoc avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Thorne tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Thorne misses with a takedown attempt - Havoc sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Havoc fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

and Thorne counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Havoc tries to keep at a distance but Thorne has taken the fight into the clinch.
Thorne tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Havoc looking for a takedown.
Kru Thorne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Havoc.
Havoc trying to stall but Thorne improves his position.

Havoc wants the takedown. Thorne is fighting it off but Havoc persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Thorne's guard against the ropes.

Havoc stands and steps away. Thorne gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Thorne tries a head kick but it misses.
Havoc thuds a left hand into Thorne's body.
Thorne tries to close the distance and clinch up but Havoc swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Havoc throws a head kick that Thorne semi-blocks.

Thorne has Havoc up against the ropes in a clinch.

Havoc prevents Thorne from getting back to his feet.

Thorne throws his legs up looking for a submission but Havoc uses it to pass to side control.
Thorne is looking to reverse the position.
Thorne is working hard here to advance position.
The referee asks Havoc politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Havoc prefers to stall for the moment though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Havoc wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thorne keeps working.

Havoc stands up and we're back to a striking position.

and Havoc counters with a low kick, right behind Thorne 's knee.

and Thorne counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Thorne lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Havoc!

Havoc is desperately trying to improve his position but Thorne has a good base and remains in mount.
Thorne avoids the attempt from Havoc to control.
Thorne wants to control the pace but Havoc is squirming around nicely.
Havoc is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Thorne gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Havoc shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Havoc showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Thorne is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Havoc pulls his head out easily.
Havoc is pressing down on Thorne's thigh, looking to free his foot. Thorne is holding on for now.
Thorne is trying to control but can't.

Thorne tries to roll over but Havoc keeps him under control.
Havoc stops Thorne from getting back to his feet.
Thorne wants to sweep but Havoc has passed to side control!

Havoc wants to control for a moment but Thorne uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
A head kick from Thorne lands but Havoc takes it in his stride.

Danny Havoc showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Havoc shoots in for a double leg but Thorne sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Thorne tries to clinch up but Havoc circles away and keeps his distance.

Thorne feints and as Havoc raises his hands in defense, Thorne changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Havoc tries to close the distance and clinch up but Thorne swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Havoc pulls guard effortlessly.
Thorne stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Havoc swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Thorne works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Havoc is refusing to be controlled, as Thorne sits in half guard.
Havoc is looking to control Thorne's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Havoc avoid being mounted?
Havoc tries to kick Thorne off but Thorne keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Havoc gets full guard.
Thorne trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Havoc wants to get back to his feet but Thorne is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Havoc slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Thorne postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Havoc is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Thorne, into his guard.
