Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Doyle Hargraves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thompson has chosen John Denver - Country roads as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hargraves looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Hargraves dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Thompson. That did some damage!
Hargraves misses with a right hand
and Thompson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hargraves has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Thompson checks the leg kick nicely there.
Thompson takes one to the chin there.
Thompson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Hargraves swats away the attempt to clinch by Thompson.
Hargraves pushes Thompson away with a front kick.
Thompson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Thompson scores with the left hand. Hargraves knows he should have avoided that one.

It looks like Doyle Hargraves has been cut.
Hargraves tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Thompson is able to avoid easily.
Thompson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Thompson looks to score with a jab to the body but Hargraves is just out of range.
Hargraves throws a quick counter kick to the body but Thompson avoids it.
Hargraves throws a hook but Thompson blocks it.
Hargraves misses with a hook
and Thompson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hargraves throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hargraves smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Thompson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Hargraves has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hargraves there as he acknowledges the shot.

Hargraves is rocked!
Thompson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Oh Hargraves is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hargraves thumps Thompson with a low kick.
Thompson looks to score with a jab to the body but Hargraves is just out of range.
Hargraves thinks about countering with a body kick.
Thompson slips under a jab.
Thompson cracks Hargraves on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Hargraves falls backwards against the cage. Thompson follows up with more strikes that drop Hargraves to his knees. Thompson keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Hargraves! This one is all over!

John Thompson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
