Jimenez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Horrible takedown attempt by Dickerson or perhaps it was just good defense by Jimenez, which made it look bad.

Jimenez leaves Dickerson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Devon Dickerson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Jimenez counters with a three punch combo that has Dickerson backing up. Dickerson nods at Jimenez to acknowledge the strikes.
Dickerson lands with a kick to the temple. Jimenez shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Jimenez darts in and clinches Dickerson up against the cage.

Dickerson gets control of Jimenez's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dickerson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Jimenez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
