Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Boucher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Tremblay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steve Tremblay will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Boucher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Tremblay!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boucher shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Tremblay is trying to maintain the position but Boucher is very close to passing his half guard.
Boucher throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Boucher is looking for a kimura here.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boucher stops Tremblay from getting back to his feet.

Boucher thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tremblay's head.
Tremblay is trying to stand up here but Boucher is controlling him well.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

and Boucher counters with a shoot takedown. Tremblay fights it but they end up in guard.
Boucher wants to pass the guard but Tremblay is keeping the position.

Boucher postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Tremblay is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Boucher, into his guard.

Tremblay lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Tremblay looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boucher is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Tremblay shoots for a double leg takedown but Boucher sprawls well. He's pushed Tremblay's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boucher works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Boucher creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Tremblay sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Tremblay wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Boucher tries to advance to mount but Tremblay denies him.

Boucher tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Boucher lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Boucher wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tremblay keeps working.

Tremblay wants to control but Boucher is keeping busy.

Tremblay fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Boucher avoids it really well and circles away.
Kevin Boucher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Tremblay.

Tremblay dives in and grabs Boucher's left leg, looking for a takedown. Boucher pushes down on Tremblay's head and hops out.

Boucher has picked Tremblay up - he's going for a ride! Boucher dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Boucher closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well Boucher has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
