And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, bj Ferguson!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson throws a head kick that Brooks semi-blocks.
Brooks gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Ferguson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Ferguson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Brooks is trying to keep an underhook but Ferguson manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Brooks will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Ferguson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Brooks is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ferguson.

Brooks thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ferguson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ferguson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Ferguson is landing with some decent strikes but Brooks is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Ferguson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Brooks looks a forlorn figure.
Ferguson prevents Brooks from getting the reversal.

Brooks seems to have got his legs back now.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ferguson putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Ferguson loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Brooks scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Ferguson land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Ferguson stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). bj Ferguson!
bj Ferguson took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'I keep putting these good guys away. I'm 34 boys. wheres ethan harris at?'.
