Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Veron Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Placencia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Placencia has chosen Eminem - The Monster Ft. Rihanna as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas wants to clinch.
Thomas moves out of range of the strikes.

Placencia closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Thomas quickly recovers to half guard.
Placencia looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Thomas wants to control but Placencia is keeping busy.
Thomas really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Placencia takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thomas blocking the ground and pound attempt from Placencia.
Placencia has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The fighters are battling for position here. Thomas manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Thomas tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Placencia postures up in Thomas's guard and throws a big left but Thomas blocks it.

Placencia is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Placencia got a little sloppy there for a moment and Thomas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Placencia has managed to get both his arms back between Thomas's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Placencia connects with a couple of short punches.
Placencia chips away with some ground and pound.

Thomas is rocked!
Placencia gets to his feet and stands over Thomas, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Thomas felt that one! Placencia unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Thomas from any more punishment!

Anthony Placencia made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'This Is It. Its Here Baby..'.
