Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chandler Bing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lane Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lane Tate has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chandler Bing!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lane Tate!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bing throws the left hand but Tate avoids the punch easily.
Bing throws a hook but Tate avoids it easily.
Nice uppercut there from Bing.


It looks like Lane Tate has been cut.
Tate walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Bing lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Tate ducks under a wild hook from Bing.

Tate closes the distance and clinches.

Tate jumps guard.
Tate has Bing pulled in close to control his posture.
Tate has a closed guard, preventing Bing from standing up.
Bing wants to stand and escape but instead Tate has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Tate prevents Bing from getting back to his feet.
Tate slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bing is looking to stand back up but Tate counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Bing.
Tate looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Bing looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Bing scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Tate manages to mount him!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tate tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Tate looking to ground and pound but Bing is blocking nicely.
Tate should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Bing tries to buck Tate off but he can't manage it.
Tate looking to control and managing it successfully.
Tate sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tate throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Tate thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Tate looking to control and managing it successfully.

Tate is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Bing can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Tate controlling the position easily from mount.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bing has given up his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
What can Bing do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Bing covering up well and avoiding damage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Tate is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Bing throws a shot from downtown. Tate moves away and avoids it.
Lane Tate is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bing looks to land a right hand but Tate moved out of range.
Tate moves out of range of the strikes.
Bing cracks Tate with an open hand slap.
Tate bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
The fighters circling - Bing throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tate is defended easily by Bing.
Bing looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
As Bing backs off Tate throws a huge counter combo but Bing manages to avoid it all.

Tate rushes Bing and presses him up against the cage.
Bing is looking for a takedown.
Bing tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tate just stands there and leans against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tate pressing his opponent against the cage.

Tate jumps into guard, dragging Bing to the mat.
Bing tries to stand but Tate is controlling from the bottom.

Tate pulls Bing in close to his closed guard and prevents Bing from doing any damage or advancing position.
Bing wanted to stand there but Tate had control of the position.
Bing stopping the sweep attempt from Tate.
Bing wants to stand and escape but instead Tate has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Tate is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bing wants to stand and escape but Tate is having none of it.
Bing is looking to stand back up but Tate counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Bing.
Bing scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Tate manages to mount him!

Tate sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Tate throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Bing because Tate loaded up on that one.
Tate throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Tate looking to ground and pound but Bing is blocking nicely.
The referee warns Bing that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Bing is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Tate takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Tate is continuing to stall.
Let's hope that Tate has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Bing misses the jab.
Bing missing with a left hand there. Tate was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A punch combination from Bing misses.
Chandler Bing is winning the standup battle so far.

Tate has taken the fight to the clinch.
Bing is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Tate pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Tate is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Bing is defending well.

Tate ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tate no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Bing stands up from Tate's guard - Bing perhaps looking for a knockout.
Bing looks to throw the jab but Tate is out of range.
Bing misses with a lunging right hand

and Tate counters by clinching up.
Bing swings wildly with an uppercut but Tate uses good head movement to avoid it.
Tate lands a hook that snaps the head of Bing backwards.
Bing misses with a punch to the body.

Tate pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tate fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bing throws a right hand that misses
and Tate counters with a good, hard body kick but Bing shrugs it off.
Chandler Bing seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Bing misses with a straight right.
And Tate tries to counter it with a takedown but Bing pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Bing throws a shot from downtown. Tate moves away and avoids it.

Tate clinches up against the cage.

Tate breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Tate steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bing.
Tate has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Bing misses with a right hand
and Tate counters with a good low kick that Bing was not able to check.
Bing defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tate.
Chandler Bing has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lane Tate.
Tate throws a head kick that looked like it stung.


It looks like Chandler Bing has been cut.
Tate fails to land the takedown.
Bing rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Tate to counter with a crisp jab.
Tate is looking to slow Bing down with leg kicks.
Bing fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tate.

Tate slips a jab and a cross from Bing.
Tate throws a fast counter high kick but Bing manages to duck under it in time.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tate keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bing.
Tate shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bing as he avoids it easily.
Tate throws a sloppy head kick and Bing moves out of range easily.
Tate blocks a jab.
And Tate tries to counter it with a takedown but Bing pushes his down on his head and steps out.
A swing and a miss from Bing.
Tate staying out of range there.
Tate looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bing is fending him off so far but Tate persists. Nope, Bing circles away and we're back to standing.

Bing lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Bing throws an off balance right hand
and Tate counters with a straight right hand.
Bing throws a combination that misses
and Tate counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Bing stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bing wants it to stay on the feet.
Bing throws a looping overhand right but Tate ducks down to avoid it.
Bing is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tate.
Tate misses with a takedown attempt - Bing sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Bing misses with a two punch combination.
Bing throws a jab when Tate was well out of range.

Tate fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bing sprawls well initially but Tate persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bing tries to kick Tate off but Tate keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Tate is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Tate throwing shots but Bing is blocking nicely.
Tate passes to side control.

Tate wants to control but Bing is keeping him busy.
Tate moves into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bing is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Tate thowing shots but they're missing.
Chandler Bing has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Lane Tate is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Tate takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
