Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kelley Hull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drew Petrie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kelley Hull is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kelley Hull!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Drew Petrie!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Chris Dean and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hull shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Petrie but Petrie pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hull doesn't manage to clinch there - Petrie circles away.
Hull dives in and grabs Petrie's left leg, looking for a takedown. Petrie pushes down on Hull's head and hops out.
Petrie looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
A right-left combo lands from Petrie.
Petrie misses with a body kick.
Petrie just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromHull.
Petrie sizes up Hull with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Petrie looks for the body kick but Hull saw that one coming.
Petrie scores with a crisp jab that stopped Hull in his tracks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Petrie takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Hull shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Petrie as he avoids it easily.
A little jabbing left from Petrie on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kelley Hull. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hull takes one on the button.
A head kick misses from Petrie.
Drew Petrie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Petrie counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Petrie throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Petrie works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Petrie moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Hull dodges the punch combination from Petrie.

Petrie tries to clinch but Hull moves out of range.
Petrie will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Petrie slaps away a takedown attempt from Hull, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Petrie cracks Hull with a right hand to the side of the head.
Hull takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Hull takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Hull fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Petrie unleashes a big counter combination but Hull bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Petrie lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Petrie scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Hull darts in looking for a takedown but Petrie gets double underhooks and turns Hull into the cage.
Petrie tries to clinch there but Hull circles away.
Hull appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Petrie fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hull seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Hull was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Decent striking displayed by Petrie there.

Petrie looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hull shoots in looking for a takedown but Petrie manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hull's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Hull closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Petrie's guard.
Hull slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Drew Petrie dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Petrie fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hull looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Hull shoots in for a double leg but Petrie sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Petrie throws a series of strikes that have Hull backpedaling.
Petrie scores with the left hand. Hull knows he should have avoided that one.

Hull shoots for a double leg takedown but Petrie sprawls well. He's pushed Hull's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Hull shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hull showed some decent athleticism there.
Hull is trying to control. Petrie wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Petrie has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Hull is looking to take a break and control but Petrie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hull looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Hull shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Petrie sprawls well. Petrie wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hull gets slowly back to his feet.
Hull dives in for a single leg takedown but Petrie sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Drew Petrie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Petrie stalks Hull and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hull's face. Hull staggers backwards, shaken.
Hull goes for a double leg but Petrie avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Petrie continues to drive forward.
