Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Denis Carney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik De Boer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Boer comes into a darkened arena with his song building. PSYCHO kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Boer misses with a head kick.
De Boer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

De Boer closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Carney quickly recovers to half guard.
De Boer content to control rather than advance.
De Boer wants to pass the guard but Carney is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Boer wants to take a breather but Carney is having none of it.

Carney throws a sloppy head kick and De Boer moves out of range easily.

De Boer clinches up against the cage.
Carney wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Carney is trying to break the clinch but De Boer has him pressed against the cage.

Carney manages to break the clinch.

Carney moves out of range of the body kick from De Boer.
Carney throws a counter high kick but De Boer was just alert enough to avoid it.
Carney throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
De Boer scores with a spinning back kick!

It looks like Denis Carney has been cut.

Carney gets tackled into the cage by De Boer. De Boer maintains the clinch.

Carney escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
De Boer throws a lazy right hand but Carney sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Erik De Boer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carney takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
De Boer lets loose with a powerful body kick. Carney will feel that in the morning.

De Boer lands a big head kick that sends Carney tumbling to the mat! De Boer takes a step backwards and waves Carney back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Carney is rocked!
De Boer is looking to land body kicks.
Oh Carney is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
De Boer lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Carney falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
