Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kid King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kid King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Victor Reed!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King shoots in for a takedown but Reed shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
King takes one on the button.
Reed connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Reed jabs at King's body.
Reed lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Reed shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Reed was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
This has been an exciting period of action!
King is trying to buck Reed off.
My spies in North Gym inform me that Reed has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Reed grinds an elbow into King's temple.
King wants to get back to his feet but Reed drags him back down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reed taking a breather here.
Reed landing strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
King is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Reed is putting a hurting on King here, landing some big shots from side control.
Reed throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Reed in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Reed in side control, throwing shots but King defends.
Reed working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

Reed goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, King rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Reed's guard! Nice work there by King!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as King accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
King lands a couple of digs.
Reed manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. King manages to get himself to full guard.

King looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Reed content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Reed has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
King keeping full guard, as Reed tries to pass.
Reed with a flurry of punches that miss.
Reed throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as King works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Reed prevents King from getting back to his feet.
King keeping full guard, as Reed tries to pass.
Reed postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Reed throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
King wants to stand up but Reed is controlling him.
King keeping moving, preventing Reed from controlling successfully.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
King wants to get back to his feet but Reed is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
King drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
King fails with the takedown
and Reed cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
King shoots in looking for a takedown. Reed tries to sprawl out of it but King keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Reed manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kid King. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Reed lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
No luck for King with that takedown attempt.
It seemed like Reed was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Reed takes the fight into the clinch.
King is trying to drag Reed to the mat but Reed just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Reed digs a right hand into King's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on King's gas tank.
King has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Reed after a bit of a struggle.
Reed lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down King.
King is breathing heavily.
A shot in the inside from Reed.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Victor Reed dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Reed thuds his right hand into King's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
King gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! King tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Reed is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and King buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves King!! King is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Reed throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:08 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Victor Reed!
