Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Trane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Whonjon William (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John Trane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Whonjon William!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
William lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Trane at a distance.
William tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Trane attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

William instigates a clinch.
Trane prevents a body shot from William.
William tries to throw a body punch but Trane avoids it by throwing William back against the cage.
A short left from Trane.

William's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
William dodges the punch combination from Trane.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

William clinches with his opponent.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Trane as William tries to tie him up.
William lands with a right to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Trane is trying to break free.
William slowing the pace effectively.
Still in the clinch, William scores with a nice short uppercut.
Trane can't break the clinch.
Trane wants to get back to striking at distance but William won't allow it.

William tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
William has Trane pressed against the cage, preventing Trane from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Trane escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Good shot there by Trane.
John Trane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from William. Trane does a little dance to reset his feet.
Trane throwing a counter right hand but William manages to avoid it.
Trane throws a combination but it was largely blocked by William.
Trane takes one on the button.

Trane connects with a nice looking jab.
William steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Trane.
William takes a swing at Trane's ribcage but misses.
Trane avoids a punch combination nicely.
William is looking to clinch but Trane is avoiding it.
Trane was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Trane works over William's head and body with a nice combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Trane throws an ugly left hook that misses
and William cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Trane misses with an uppercut

and William decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Trane's guard.
William trying to control the position from guard on top but Trane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

William is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Trane keeping full guard, as William tries to pass.

Trane is really struggling to control William but he's trying to hold on to the position.
William scoring with some ground and pound.
Trane controls William momentarily but William frees himself.
William pushing down on Trane's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
William is nestled in close to Trane, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Trane is trying to stand up here but William is controlling him well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
William lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
William takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Trane on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Trane keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Trane wants to control but William is keeping busy and won't allow it.
William wants to free his trapped foot but Trane is holding on for dear life with his legs.
William is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

William is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Trane is just riding it out for now. William eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
William scoring with strikes to the body and head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Whonjon William dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Trane throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and William counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
William on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Trane attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
William is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Trane misses with the combination.
William takes a swing at Trane's ribcage but misses.

Trane rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but William moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
William takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Trane cracks William with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

William dives in and scores a takedown into Trane's guard.
William has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.
William missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
William works over Trane with some ground and pound from guard.
Trane trying to keep a closed guard but William is proving a slippery customer.

William keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Trane's head.
Trane will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
William advances position into side control!
Trane tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

William is working for a rear naked choke. Trane is not defending it well and William has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Trane refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Trane's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Whonjon William!
A very excited looking Whonjon William made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
