Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Badger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Badger will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, James Price!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Badger!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Badger lands a two punch combo.
Badger looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Price doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Badger counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Badger clinches with his opponent.
Price has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Badger is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Price jumps guard and drags Badger to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Badger loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Badger throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Price works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Badger throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Badger really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Price. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Price wants to sweep but no luck.
Badger chips away with some ground and pound.
Price has control of Badger's left arm, preventing Badger from doing any damage.
Price throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Badger accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Badger lands a couple of digs.
Badger throws a strike but Price rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Price slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Price's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Badger working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Price.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Price sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Badger wants to control the position but Price says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Badger is looking for a sweep. Price is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Price has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Price content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Badger can do anything to dispel that myth.
Badger wants to get back to full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Badger tries to bum rush Price with a series of wild strikes but Price uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
As Badger looks to move away, Price throws a big counter combo bu Badger just gets out of the way.
A cross from Badger lands.

Badger looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Badger content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Price has locked up a guillotine! Price's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Badger is holding on here and Price must be using up a lot of energy. Badger has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Price gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
