The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wells tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hullett manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Wells has a takedown stuffed.
Hullett cracks Wells with an open hand slap.
Hullett pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Hullett decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Wells misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Hullett lands strikes from half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Joan Wells has been cut.
Hullett perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Oh Wells is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hullett's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Hullett is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Wells is hurt! He's hurt bad - Hullett fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Wells from any more punishment! Congratulations to Hullett! Great finish!
