Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antoine Louis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcelo Putin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Louis shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Louis showed some decent athleticism there.
Putin holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Louis is thwarting Putin's attempts to control the position.
Louis content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Louis is nestled in close to Putin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Louis is just content to waste time from the top position. Putin takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Louis has gone for a leg lock! Putin slips out almost immediately though and dives into Louis's guard.

Louis manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Putin jumps guard but Louis stands there with Putin around his waist. Putin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Louis gets to his feet. Putin looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Louis is looking to clinch but Putin is avoiding it.
Putin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Louis's waist but Louis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Putin off to one side.
Louis misses with a kick to the body.
Putin tries to clinch up but Louis circles away and keeps his distance.
Putin tries for a takedown but Louis sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Putin lands with a short punch from the clinch.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Louis uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Putin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Putin ducks under a wild hook from Louis.
Putin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Putin tries to land a leg kick but Louis saw it coming and moves away.
Putin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Louis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Putin somewhat.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Marcelo Putin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Louis looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Putin is looking to escape.
Antoine Louis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Louis stands up out of the half guard.
Putin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Louis changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Louis throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Putin tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Louis is in Putin's guard.

Putin has his foot on Louis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Louis works his way back into a safe position though.

Putin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Louis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Putin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Louis is working away from the top position though.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Louis tries to bum rush Putin with a series of wild strikes but Putin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Louis is defended easily by Putin.
Louis closes the distance but Putin moves to the side
and Putin counters with a left and a right that stings Louis.

Louis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Putin's guard.

Louis drops back, looking for a kneebar! Putin looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Putin looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Putin!

Putin is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Putin works to advance to full mount. Louis defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Putin looking to control but Louis is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Putin avoids the attempt from Louis to control.

Putin looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Louis tries to reverse the position but Putin maintains control.
Louis is squirming around, avoiding Putin's attempts to control the action.
Louis tries to hold on but Putin pushes him away.
Putin can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Louis is looking to escape.

Putin jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Louis is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Louis and Putin has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Putin clinches up with Louis and pushes him back against the cage.

Louis manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
