Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Oleg Bartowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bartowski comes to the cage accompanied by The King is Back. Summers has chosen The Stranger as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Oleg Bartowski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nathan Summers!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Summers steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bartowski.
Summers wants to counter the offense by Bartowski and move into the clinch position.

Summers gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bartowski to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bartowski throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bartowski postures up and lands a big shot to Summers's brow.
Summers has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Golden Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Bartowski in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bartowski throws an elbow that misses. Summers uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bartowski's guard. Nice move by Summers!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bartowski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Summers sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bartowski's guard.

Summers is keen to just control but Bartowski is a slippery customer.
Bartowski won't allow Summers to pass to mount.
Summers is controlling the pace.
Bartowski keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Summers sitting and controlling from the half guard.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Summers is looking to stall here but Bartowski recovers full guard.

Bartowski looking to hit a scissor sweep but Summers is one step ahead there.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Oleg Bartowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bartowski swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Summers tries to counter with a clinch but Bartowski shakes him off and moves away.
Bartowski connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Summers momentarily.

Bartowski throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Summers darts in looking for a takedown but Bartowski gets double underhooks and turns Summers into the cage.
Bartowski appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Summers is defended easily by Bartowski.
Summers scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Summers shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bartowski sprawls well. Bartowski wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Summers gets slowly back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Bartowski's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Bartowski bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Summers tries to bench press Bartowski off him but Bartowski keeps the position.

Bartowski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Summers keeps working.
Bartowski throwing strikes but Summers manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Summers wants to control but Bartowski is keeping him busy.
Summers might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bartowski haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Summers tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Summers has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bartowski is holding Summers down, trying to stall.

Summers wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bartowski keeps working.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Bartowski throws a hook but Summers avoids it easily.
Summers wants to counter with a clinch but Bartowski pushes him away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bartowski swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Summers counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Summers.

Summers pushes down on Bartowski's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bartowski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nathan Summers showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Summers looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Bartowski misses with a straight left.
Summers tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Summers tries to sprawl but Bartowski drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Bartowski throwing shots but Summers is blocking nicely.
Bartowski looks to land a strike but Summers avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Bartowski throws a strike but Summers rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Summers misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bartowski throws a lazy right hand but Summers sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Summers drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Bartowski defends it well.
Summers slips under a jab from Bartowski.
And Summers tries to counter it with a takedown but Bartowski pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Bartowski just misses with a punch to the body.
Summers avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Summers uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bartowski.
Summers ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
And Summers tries to counter it with a takedown but Bartowski pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Bartowski shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Summers is trying to defend but Bartowski finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Summers moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Summers trying to keep a closed guard but Bartowski is proving a slippery customer.
Bartowski is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Summers can do to turn this around?
