The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hemler walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Hemler shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hemler is trying to control the action in half guard but Azz is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Hemler stands up out of the half guard.
Hemler throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hemler fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hemler gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Azz.
Hemler is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Azz.

It looks like Karsten Hemler has been cut.
Hemler looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Azz lands with a nice combination. Hemler backs away looking to recover.
Azz drops Hemler with a left right combo! Azz follows him down to the ground into side control.

Hemler is rocked!
Hemler is looking to reverse the position.

Azz tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Azz has an Americana. Hemler didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Azz is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Azz hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
