The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veljanovski closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Konna is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Veljanovski asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Veljanovski is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Konna is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Konna tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Veljanovski won't let Konna get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Konna on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Konna tries to get out of the position.
Konna is in a horrible position here. Veljanovski smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Veljanovski has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Konna's face.

Veljanovski has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Konna is defending well but eventually Veljanovski manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Konna has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
