The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackburn throws a hook but Mandrill avoids it easily.

Mandrill gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Blackburn to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mandrill has his foot on Blackburn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Blackburn works his way back into a safe position though.
Mandrill manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Blackburn manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mandrill stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blackburn swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Blackburn has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Mandrill. Oh but Blackburn has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Mandrill goes limp - he's gone! Blackburn jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
