Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Faceless Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Wrestler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Wrestler!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Chad Campbell and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wrestler feints and as Man raises his hands in defense, Wrestler changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Wrestler's coach down at Midnight MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Wrestler's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Man enables Wrestler to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Man manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Man is pulling down on Wrestler's head. It's preventing any offense from Wrestler, at least for the moment.
Man has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Man's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Man gets caught flat footed, as Wrestler shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Man is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A slapping body kick lands there for Man.

and Man counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Man dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Wrestler. That did some damage!

Wrestler tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Wrestler shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Man as he avoids it easily.
A decent looking cross lands there for Man.
Wrestler fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Man connects with an inside leg kick.
Man scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Wrestler throws out a loose jab but Man uses good head movement to avoid it.
We've been told by Man's head coaches at Instincts that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Horrible takedown attempt by Wrestler or perhaps it was just good defense by Man, which made it look bad.
Man is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Wrestler takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Man paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Man ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Man, as that shot connected.


Wrestler is rocked!
Man drops Wrestler with a big left hand! Wrestler is injured, injured bad! Man jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Faceless Man!
Faceless Man took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
